Spring Dance Recital

Please fill out the form below to book your child’s individual dance recital portrait.

Due to the high volume of participants, each photo session will be 5 minutes. The appointment requests will be granted on a first come, first serve basis. I will send you an email confirmation of the appointment you request. There is NO initial fee for this service.

Photos will be scheduled during Tuesday, May 25; Wednesday, May 26; Thursday, May 27.

Your child’s teacher requests that you schedule your child’s session at a different time than during the scheduled rehearsal.

If you have more than one child in the recital, please select the check box on the form. We will add additional time to your originally scheduled slot.

The cast photos will be taken on rehearsal day. Please make sure your children arrive for rehearsal promptly so that there is plenty of time for the dancers to rehearse with their teachers.

All photos will be taken at the Community Recreation Center in the Mission Preschool Room and will be online in a password-protected gallery where purchases can then be made.

Newborn Casting Call

About a week ago, I visited Etsy.com and purchased a pattern to knit a baby cocoon. I am so excited about this upcoming project. I hope to complete this knitting item within the month and would love to have a little one wear it in an upcoming photo shoot. So if you or know someone who is pregnant and due anytime now, please pass the information along and email me at info [at] lisataft.com for further details.

I only have a few reqests – baby must be between birth and 3 weeks of age, photograph at my home studio in Santa Clara, Ca and be willing to sign a model release. As a token of my gratitude, I will provide you with an 8×10 print of your choice from the session. Additional prints can also be purchased at a discounted rate.

Nguyen Family Session

It was great to meet the Nguyen family. They were one of the families who generously donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society organization and in return received a session from me. I had to make sure the time was well spent since there were two little boys running around and their little brother trying to keep up. Fun was had by all!

Tabuno Family Session

I had the pleasure to meet the Tabuno family. They were one of the families who generously donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society organization and in return received a session from me. I had such a fabulous time with this family. They were just weeks away from expecting their little one!

Summer Mini-Sessions

We will be holding mini-portrait sessions on Saturday, June 6th at Shoreline Park located in Mountain View. These mini-session will last 20 minutes and ALL PROCEEDS will go to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training to help raise money to benefit research and patient services for those affected by leukemia, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma.

Who’s eligible? Anyone… Families! Siblings! Babies! Couples! Mothers & Daughters! Fathers & Sons! Anyone except dogs which unfortunately are not allowed in the park. Sorry!

Mini-sessions will last 20 minutes and include a $25 print credit for only $75. Below are the available times.

Mother’s Day Special – Portraits in the Park!

With Mother’s Day right around the corner, I am offering a special promotion. I will be holding 2 mini-portrait sessions on Friday, May 1st at Shoreline Park located in Mountain View. These mini-sessions will last 30 minutes and include a $25 print credit for only $100.

Nursery School Portraits

These past few days, Emily and I have had the great pleasure of taking class and individual portraits of the youngsters at Santa Clara Parent’s Nursery School located in Santa Clara. We spent our days with shy 2 year olds, inquisitive 3 year olds and active 4 year olds. We enjoyed having snack and circle time with them. It made us reminiscence of our nursery school days… I wonder if we can have circle time everyday….

Katrina & Greg are expecting

I love meeting new clients and this session was no exception. I had such a great time documenting Katrina and Greg’s final days as a family of 2 becomes a family of 3. I am sure this gorgeous couple will have a gorgeous baby very soon. Congrats to them both! I can’t wait to see their new son.

Mission Accomplished

Well the weekend came and went. My days were spent at a table with Emily selling adorable images of young ones dressed up in their Nutcracker costumes. I did hope that we had more time during the dress rehearsal to capture multiple poses and the different costumes of each kid, but unfortunately, time ran out. You would think that since we had a little under 3 hours to do this we would be able to accomplish this, but nope! With the allotted time, we took 150 individual pics, a cast photo and some candid background shots. Hopefully the next time we can offer a variety of pics for the parents to chose from.

For those who would like to have another chance for their child to have individual portraits taken, we are available for private sessions. Please feel free to fill out our contact form to schedule an individual or family portrait session with us!

I had a great time participating in this event and it was a great pleasure meeting all the children and their parents.
